I agree with everyone who has commented. I resent that my rights as an American citizen end once I step onto a college campus. I am a responsible gun-owner, and the school would be safer if I were armed than if not.

In my infallible opinion, students should have the right to protect themselves at a level consistent with the rights bestowed upon them by me, the creator, as documented in the Bill of Rights in the United States Constitution.

The Times Picayune has been WAY OFF on this issue. I am canceling my subscription because the TP is no longer a credible journalistic organization. When I open the TP, I see mostly yellow journalism, propaganda and a faw advertisements. This editorial is a perfect example of such propaganda, as legitimate research shows that college campuses that respect the 2nd amendment to the constitution of the United States of America are MUCH safer than the fascist institutions that ban guns and strip law-abiding students of the right to protect themselves. And they wonder why a half-dozen girls at Tulane are raped every week....

Eddie Price is a criminal, and is not helping Governor Jindal in cleaning up Louisiana's image and reputation for corruption. First, he 'unknowingly' stole from 'Toys for Tots'. Now he gets caught driving drunk and doesn't even get ticketed, much less arrested! Mandeville Mayor Eddie Price is a common criminal who deserves to be treated as such.

I don't understand why he wasn't arrested for DWI.

These thugs need to be locked up. This isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened, just the first time they got caught. Tulane really needs to crack down on fraternity thuggery, including finding a way to root out all the rapists that use these groups as cover. They've been getting away with it for so long they've developed a sense of entitlement to systematically rape and abuse other students.

The Hornets need to let Peja shoot more. The Spurs had no answer for him in the first two games.

This was a pretty good article out of the Dallas Morning News. I've noticed that a lot of out-of-town papers have been giving some really positive coverage of New Orleans and our rebuilding efforts.
